Shelley & Drew's Spring Wedding at Duke Mansion

Confession, this blog deserves more love than I’ve been giving it lately. It’s so easy to get busy with wedding production and then execution during wedding season that occasionally the blog takes a backseat. However, this gallery cannot be missed and even though it’s a little late…I have to share it with you.

Shelley and Drew were married just over a year ago at Duke Mansion on a perfect Spring day. Flowers in bloom, green foliage EVERYWHERE (one of my favorite things about Duke Mansion), a warm but not too hot day - I know you can visualize the type of day I’m describing. As beautiful as the day was, nothing compared to the look of absolute joy on Drew’s face when he saw Shelley walking down the aisle. You see, after I get my brides started down the aisle my attention turns to the groom. There are many different expressions I’ve seen over the years… a proud smile that this will soon be his wife, tears of emotion, eyes bright with excitement. Often times it’s a mixture of all three and when Drew saw Shelley it was clear just how excited he was to become her husband.

These two have been together since high school and are the yin to the other’s yang. Equally kind, consistently putting the other first, and a great example of what partnership looks like. Cheyenne captured the day beautifully and I am so happy to FINALLY share this gallery with you!
