Libba and Daniel's South Carolina Wedding at Home

2021 was a year my friends. Personally, professionally and everything in between. It.Was.A.Year. I can’t tell you how many times I referred to the wedding industry as the “Wild Wild West” due to labor/staffing and product shortages. Even with the unknowns, I’m thankful to say that my 2021 brides were all such a joy and maintained positive attitudes through the various unknowns, with the majority of them rescheduled from 2020.

Libba and Daniel’s original plan was not to get married in May ‘21 at her parent’s home, but in July ‘20 at Foundation for the Carolinas. Like myself and other brides slated to get married in ‘20, they made the difficult decision to postpone and then ultimately changed the venue. While it wasn’t the original plan, I can’t think of a more meaningful way to celebrate the most special day of your life than by getting married at the home you grew up in… the ceremony on the pool where they will spend countless Summer days, photos in the beautifully landscaped backyard, getting ready in a place that is familiar and relaxing - this pivot was the most perfect plan B imaginable.

In a short four-month timeframe we turned the Mack residence into one of my favorite venues I’ve had the pleasure of working. Converting the pool into the ceremony space, incorporating Libba’s artwork throughout the decor, tenting the side lawn - it was a beautiful day. Keep scrolling to check it out.
