Something old, something new Something borrowed, something blue

And a silver sixpence in her shoe

This saying represents luck, hope for the future, and support for the bride from family and friends. Though I could expand on each of the "somethings", today I am simply going to give some fun examples for your "something blue".

Blue accents on the bride's bouquet - ribbon wrap, handkerchief, brooches, etc.
Blue shoes (have your bridesmaids sign the bottom to make for a great picture and keepsake!)
Sapphire necklace, earrings or bracelet
Blue underwear or garter
If you're in a time crunch and forgot (oops!) have your wedding planner sew some blue thread into your dress. Extra points if you plan ahead of time to have a seamstress sew a monogram into your dress using blue thread!
